67 cadres of DNLA surrenders in Assam

Guwahati: As many as 67 cadres of the banned Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) surrendered to the Assam government on Thursday.

The cadres laid down their arms in front of Additional Director General of Police, Hiren Nath, and Karbi Anglong’s Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang, during a program organised at Dhansiripar in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district.

Welcoming them into the mainstream, Assam Chief Minister Himanata Biswa Sarma tweeted “Committing themselves to the dream of Hon PM & Hon HM of progressive and peaceful Assam, I am glad to share that 67 cadres of DNLA laid down weapons today at Dhansiripar, Karbi Anglong”.
