Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 189 new covid cases including 25 in the age group of 0 to 18 years and two fatalities during the last 24 hours.
The covid caseload in the state dropped below 200 for the second consecutive day today. The state reported 193 cases yesterday.
With the report of 189 new cases, the total number of covid cases went up to 10,50,249. The state has now 2313 active cases.
Out of 189 fresh cases, while 113 are reported from quarantine centres, 76 are local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 83 new cases, the highest in the state followed by Jaipur 14, Mayurbhanja 13, Sambalpur and Sundergarha 12 each and Cuttack 09.
During the last 24 hours, the state reported two fatalities. Khordha and Cuttack reported one death each taking a death toll due to Covid in the state to 8422.
