No deaths, just 3 positive cases, 5 recoveries Monday in Manipur

Imphal: the situation in Manipur as far as the Covid-19 pandemic is concerned continues to improve by the day. In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday, just 3 persons (2 males, 1 female) from the general population tested positive and there was no report of any deaths, as per an official release from the Covie-19 common Control Room.

The 3 persons who tested positive from the general population include 1 each from Imphal West, Thoubal And Kakching. Meanwhile, 5 persons from home Isolation recovered during the same period.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,240 (General Population — 25,805 and Central Security Personnel — 3,432). The cumulative number of recovered cases (after reconciliation with data from IDSP, Home Isolation, Covid Care Centre Team, Death Committee Report as on February 22,2021) is 28,818 (General Population — 25,401 and CAPF— 3,417 ). The number of active cases after reconciliation with data from IDSP, Home Isolation, Covid Care Centre Team, Death Committee Report as of February 22, 2021) is 49(general population 38 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.55%.

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on February 20 (no vaccination conducted on February 21) is 1630 and the cumulative vaccination number is 40118.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 29318 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
