Imphal: Three more people succumbed to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday in Manipur, taking the state’s cumulative death toll to 1,949. During the same period, 50 persons from the general population tested coronavirus positive while 51 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the health department.
The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East, Jiribam and Kangpokpi. All three of them had co-morbidities and none of them had taken any dose of the Covid vaccine.
22 of the 50 persons who tested positive from the general population are from Imphal West, 11 of them are from Imphal East, four from Ukhrul, three each from Bishnupur and Kamjong and one each from Thoubal and Noney.
Altogether, 1,799 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 2.8 %.
Meanwhile, 51 persons recovered and were discharged, eight of them from home isolation, 33 from CCCs, nine from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.80 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,482 out of which 1,21,738 have recovered leaving 795 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 13, 2021, is 7,573, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,56,474 (1st dose 12,60,966, 2nd dose 7,95,508).
