Puducherry: Chief Minister N Rangaswamy on Wednesday said that the NR Congress-BJP government is keen to implement the promises made to the people during the election time.

He said ten kilograms of free rice and two kg sugar is being provided to all ration cardholders in the UT for the Diwali festival.

Area development funds were allocated to all the 33 legislators and the works would commence after the rains stopped. The government is taking all steps to fill up all the vacant government posts besides the posts of police constables.

All efforts are being made to protect the people from Covid infection, he said Covid infection cases reduced considerably in the Union Territory. Rangaswamy also advised the people to get their Covid vaccine.

He said adequate doses of the Covid vaccine is available and added that vaccination is the only shield to protect themselves from the infection. The Chief Minister said that his government is taking all steps to make Puducherry the best Union Territory.
