Myanmar: Aung San Suu Kyi denies charge of ‘incitement’ against the military

Naypyidaw: Myanmar’s democratic leader Aung San Suu Kyi, on Tuesday denied the charge of inciting the people of the country to rebel against the military junta for removing her from power in the country’s military in a February 1 coup, during her first testimony before a court since her arrest.

The generals, who overthrew Suu Kyi’s democratically elected government leading to widespread protest and turmoil across the country, have charged the country’s 76-year-old leader on several counts and she could face imprisonment for several years if found guilty.
