Puducherry: The Puducherry unit of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Sunday celebrated the party’s 50th formation day.
Led by AIADMK(East) secretary A Anbazhagan, party volunteers hoisted the party flag at the party headquarters here. They also garlanded the statue of M G Ramachandran, the party founder and paid floral tributes to a decorated portrait of late chief minister J Jayalalitha. They also distributed welfare measures to the poor.
Meanwhile, the AIADMK volunteers led by party (West ) secretary Om Sakthi Sekhar garlanded the statue of Jayalalitha on the 100 feet road to mark the occasion. They later garlanded the MGR statue in front of the new bus stand and Anna statue here on the occasion.
