Gangtok: The beautiful Sino-Indian border mountainous State Sikkim, is looking forward to the visit of the Vice–President of India on 20th October. The preparations are going on in full swing. The VP M Venkaiah Naidu is scheduled to inaugurate Bhaichung Stadium in Namchi, South Sikkim, followed by a visit to Capital.
Political Secretary to Chief Minister, Jacob Khaling took stock of the preparations. Chairing the meet, he said the inauguration ceremony should be a great success. He brought home to the participants in the meeting for the purpose at Namchi Officer’s Club, that CM PS Tamang has desired a National level ceremony and a grand programme. All the Sportspersons and the public around has been allowed to attend.
It was preceded by PS Jacob Khaling visiting the spot with Raju Basnett, Sports Secretary, SP South and Contractor of Bhaichung Stadium.
The Stadium has been named after Bhaichung Bhutia, the Sikkim born Indian National Football Captain.
