Agartala: After a brief halt Indigo airlines are all set to resume Shillong – Agartala – Shillong flight service thrice a week from tomorrow.

A 78 seater ATR aircraft will connect two important cities of Northeast on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Indigo officials said.

According to the schedule, the flight will take off from Shillong at 1020 hrs and reach Agartala at 1120 hrs. The same flight will return from Agartala at 1140 hrs for an hour-long journey to Shillong. After the opening of Shillong airport in the middle of 2019, Indigo had started operations between Shillong and Kolkata and at the end of last year connected Agartala.

However, due to the spike of Covid-19 in Meghalaya, the flight operation was suspended for three months and it resumed recently.

Indigo authority after air traffic assessment has decided to resume the flight between Shillong and Agartala from July under low-cost regional connectivity scheme Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN).

However, flights between Agartala and Aizawl have still been suspended due to lack of passengers.
