Imphal: The Manipur Government Monday constituted two DPCs – Class-I and Class-II for appointment by promotion in the offices/departments under the State government.
Class-I DPC will be headed by the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur as its Chairman with Commissioner/Secretary(DP) and Commissioner/Secretary of the Department concerned as Members, said a statement by the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms.
Class-II DPC will be headed by the Chief Secretary/Addl Chief Secretary Government of Manipur as its Chairman and Commissioner/Secretary of the Department concerned and Head of the Department as members.
As per the notification, these two DPCs have been accorded sanction to the exemption of consultation with the Manipur Public Service Commission with regard to the appointment by Promotion in the Offices/Departments under the Government of Manipur till the existence of the Commission of Manipur Service Commission, including cases for which requisitions have been made to the Manipur Public Service Commission nut not yet recommended by the Commission, it added.
