Imphal: Education & Fishery Minister S. Rajen Singh has assured financial assistance to COVID-19 infected families in his Lamsang assembly constituency. He said the financial assistance to those COVID infected families including those admitted to hospitals, will also be directly transferred to their respective Bank accounts.
Speaking to media during a supervising visit to the COVID-19 infected localities, containment zones and families of Lamsang Assembly Constituencies, Rajen said that the second wave of COVID-19 should not be taken lightly. He advised the public to be aware of the pandemic and SOPs should also be maintained accordingly.
Minister Rajen also maintained that everyone has a role to contain this pandemic. Local clubs and organizations have also been urged to play a role during this juncture. We should keep ourselves healthy. Anxiety and stress should be evaded during this pandemic, he added.
He also distributed food items to the infected families of Lamsang A/C. Besides food items, medicines and Oximeters were also distributed to the infected households. Any communication regarding any COVID-related assistance should be communicated to the COVID Consultative Committee, Lamsang A/C, he added.
