Aizawl: ‘Catch the Rain Campaign’ by National Water Mission has been officially launched in Champhai District Friday by Deputy Commissioner Pi Maria C.T. Zuali at her Office Chamber.
The launching program was also attended by District Youth Officer, NYKS Pu Dinesh Jangid, among others.
At a short launching programme, Pi Maria C.T. Zuali while stressing the importance of rainwater harvesting assured full support to NYKS for the campaign. She also shared her ideas and experiences to make this campaign a success and up to the expectations.
Catch to the Rain campaign is aimed for spreading awareness among the people about the importance of rainwater conservation. The conservation of rainwater in Champhai District is very important as people are mostly dependent on rainwater for drinking and daily purposes.
