Imphal: With 83 persons 30 general population, 53 CAPF) testing positive out of a total of 1,947, Manipur’s positivity rate rose significantly to 4.3 in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday. During the same period, two persons also succumbed to Covid related death while 29 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The Two persons who expired on Sunday are from Imphal West and Imphal East, both of them had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 30 persons who tested positive from the general population, 13 are from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, two each from Thoubal and Tengnoupual and one each from Bishnupur, Kakching and Churachandpur.
Altogether, 1,947 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 4.3 %.
Meanwhile,29 persons recovered and were discharged Sunday, four of them from home isolation, 22 from CCCs and three from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 24,918 out of which 1,22,274 have recovered leaving 682 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 20, 2021, is 5,644, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,03,301 (1st dose 12,69,817, 2nd dose 8,33,484).
