New Delhi: Fifty-seven students hailing from Assam have returned to Delhi so far from the war-hit Ukraine, an official said here on Thursday.

“Today, 26 Assam students have arrived in New Delhi from Ukraine. The number is likely to increase as more are scheduled to arrive,” Joint Director of Assam’s DIPR DN Loying told UNI.

On their arrival they were received by the state government officials. “They are staying in Assam House. They will fly to Guwahati and it will be arranged accordingly,” Loying said.

Giving a break up of the returnees from Ukraine, the official informed that eight students had arrived in Delhi on February 27, three on February 28, 13 on March 1 and seven on March 2.
