53 test Covid positive and 86 recover in Manipur Saturday

The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.05 %.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading upto 5 pm of Saturday, 53 persons from the general population tested positive in Manipur. During the same period, 86 persons recovered and no Covid-related death was reported, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 53 persons who tested positive, 21 are from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, four from Senapati, three each from Thoubal and Churachandpur, two each from Kakching, Chandel, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul and one from Tamenglong. Altogether, 590 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 9.0 %.

Meanwhile, 86 persons recovered and were discharged: 56 from home isolation, 20 discharges, four each from RIMS and SHRI and two from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.05 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 037 out of which 1, 36,326 have recovered leaving 582 active cases in the state.

As on July 29, 2022, 84 D-type oxygen cylinders and 5 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 30 , 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 22 are occupied and 16 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 38 are occupied and 24 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on July 29 is 5,609, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,01,985 (1st dose 16,13,650, 2nd dose 12,86,300) and precautionary dose is 2,02,035.
