5 illegal Myanmarese nationals detained at Imphal airport

None of them possesses valid travel documents; however, an Indian Aadhaar Card and a PAN Card were found in their possessions.

Imphal: Seven people, including two juveniles suspected to be Myanmarese nationals, were detained by a combined team of the Tulihal Airport police station and the Foreigner Check Post (FCP) at Imphal International Airport here on Wednesday. 

The seven illegal immigrants arrived at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport from Pune via Kolkata on Indigo Flight No. 6E-6359/6E-822 

They were identified as Suankhan Khai, 28, son of Lian Khan Khyal of Tuimui Chin District, Myanmar; Kam Sia Khai, 19, son of Lia Za Vai of Kale Sagaing Region, Myanmar; Cing Num Eng, 26, daughter of Thaum Khan Lam of Lum Maul Village, Chin District, Myanmar; Thanglamchin, 21, son of Lang Khango of Tuimui, Chin District, Myanmar; and Niang Lun Kin, 26, daughter of Pun Khan Thang of Kale Sagaing Region, Myanmar.

None of them possesses valid travel documents; however, an Indian Aadhaar Card and a PAN Card were found in their possessions.

The five adults have been placed at the Foreigners Detention Centre, and the two juveniles are placed at Juvenile Observation Homes. A regular case has been registered at Singjamei Police Station for further legal action, as per a release from the PRO, Manipur Police.
