Imphal: With four more Covid related deaths Tuesday, the cumulative death toll in Manipur reached 1,875. The state also reported 159 new positive cases and 102 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the health department.
Of the four who expired Wednesday, two of them belonged to Imphal West and one each from Senapati and Thoubal. Two of those who expired had co-morbidities and two of them had been vaccinated with the 1st dose and two of them did not get vaccinated.
Of the 159 persons who tested positive from the general population, 82 are from Imphal West, 42 from Imphal East, 12 from Bishnupur, six from Ukhrul, two each from Senapati and Thoubal and one each from Chandel,Kkamjong, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong.
Altogether, 2,581 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.2 %
On Tuesday 102 persons were discharged, out of which 21 are from home isolation, 55 from CCCs, one from CHIC, six from RIMS and six from JNIMS.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 21,462 out of which 1, 17,810 have recovered leaving 1,777 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 5, 2021, is 8, 057 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 17, 39,798 (1st dose 12,28,110, 2nd dose 5,11,688).
The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 6 is 556 out of which 442 are general beds while 114 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available at various CCCs of the state on October6 is 3372 out of which 807 are occupied while 2765 are vacant.
