37th Natl Games: Manipur wins two silver medals in rowing, one bronze in Taekwondo

The spirited pair of Thoudam Priya Devi and Haobijam Tendenthoi Devi of the 2000 mtrs Double Scull elbowed with might and determination at the picturesque Vainguinim Beach, Cidada de Goa to win the Silver opening its account for the Rowing Team.

In yet another closely fought event, rowing’s quadruple scull, the team of Thangjam Priya Devi, Haobijam Tendenthoi Devi, Thoudam Aruna Devi and Mayengbam Merina Devi won the Silver.

On the floor of the Ponda Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, the Poomsae Mix pair of Nongdaren Khaba and Umelly Mangshatabam won the Bronze.

The men’s and women’s Sepak Takraw Regu event sailed through to enter the semi- final at the Fatorda Multipurpose Hall.

Meanwhile, the Indian Olympic Association has allotted the 38th National Games, 2024 to Uttarakhand.
