2nd District Hill Leaders’ day, Meeyamgi Numit held at Pherzawl

Pherzawl: Organised by the District Administration, Pherzawl, the 2nd District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit was held on Friday at the Office Complex of the Deputy Commissioner in Pherzawl District. SP Pherzawl, A. Ghaneshyam Sharma; SDO/BDO (Tipaimukh & Vangai), Dinesh Kumar Singh; and other DLOs led by the DC observed the event with the active participation of the Village Chief/Chairman and the general public.  

Launching the event and also expressing his gratitude, the DC observes that the first event held on 29th July was successful due to good cooperation of all DLOs and the general public. Eleven grievances/ complaints/ applications received in the last event are already endorsed to the various line departments, informs the DC.  

Extending all necessary assistance from the Government to address the various issues, he stressed some issues can be addressed on the spot while some applications take time for putting up work proposals and approved by the work advisory board in their annual programme. 

Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl, Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS, heard the grievances of the public whilst interacting with Leaders and CSOs; he distributed NPSA-2013 Ration Cards to sixteen beneficiaries. Altogether 5 applications pertaining to various issues and other developmental works were received today by the DC for further necessary action. Provision for setting up of Police Station at Pherzawl and Vangai Range are some of the demands made to the SP by the village leaders.

Public Welfare Services including awareness through PPT presentation by Forest Departments & distribution of saplings, free Text Books and School Uniforms, Wi-Fi Routers to five selected villages under Bharat Broadband under Dept. of IT and other benefits were also given to the beneficiaries. Besides providing other healthcare-related services, the CMO Teams administered Covid vaccinations on the spot. 

Eighteen stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.
