21 recoveries, 17 new positive cases in Manipur Friday

Of the 17 persons who tested positive, 10 are from Imphal West, three from Imphal East, two from  Churachandpur and one each from Bishnupur and Kamjong.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday in Manipur, 17 persons tested positive while 21 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 17 persons who tested positive, 10 are from Imphal West, three from Imphal East, two from  Churachandpur and one each from Bishnupur and Kamjong. Altogether, 532 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.2 %.

Meanwhile, 21 persons, recovered, 11 discharged, seven of them from home isolation, two from RIMS and one from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.40 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 671 of which 1, 37,439 have recovered leaving 86 active cases in the state.

As on August 25, 2022, 34 D-type oxygen cylinders and four B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 26 , 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which seven are occupied and 31 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which five are occupied and 57 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 25, is 2,266 the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,66,927 1st dose 16,27,260, 2nd dose 13,01,027) and precautionary dose is 2,38,640.
