Shillong: A 80-year-old man was killed by a 17-year-old boy, accusing him of practising witchcraft, police said on Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred at Dienglieng village in East Khasi Hills district on Tuesday night when the juvenile attacked Kwoi Diengdoh with a wooden stick.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accuser believed that the 80-year-old man was the reason for the ill-health of his mother.
Police have arrested the teenager and have forwarded him to the juvenile home.
