17 candidates in fray for three ACs in Kangpokpi district

Polling parties, micro observers, sector officers and security personnel in respect of the three assembly constituencies of the Kangpokpi District were dispersed from the Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi district.

Imphal: All the polling and security personnel deployed for the three Assembly Constituencies of Kangpokpi District for the first phase of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections, 2022 have been dispersed Sunday. 

Polling parties, micro observers, sector officers and security personnel in respect of the three assembly constituencies of the Kangpokpi District were dispersed from the Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi district. 

A total of 1,00,351(49,631 male and 50,720 female) voters of the district will decide the political fate of 17 candidates contesting in the three assembly constituencies tomorrow. Three candidates namely former Social Minister Nemcha Kipgen (BJP), Ngamkhohen Kipgen (INC) and Soshim Gurung (JD-U) are contesting in the 50-Kangpokpi (Gen) AC.

Haokholet Kipgen (Independent), Lamtinthang Haokip (INC), Ngamthang Haokip (BJP), L. Johny Gangmei (JD-U), K. Lhouvum (NPP) and Th. Sanglou Maram (Independent) are in fray in 51-Saitu (ST) AC.

In 46-Saikul (ST) AC – Kenn Raikhan (Independent), Chungkhokai Doungel (Independent), Ch. Ajang Khongsai (JD-U), Yamthong Haokip (BJP), Jamchinlen Lunkim (RPI), Kimneo Haokip Hangshing (KPA), Seikholal Haokip (NPP) and Lhingkim Haokip (INC) are contesting for the first phase tomorrow.
