Imphal: Manipur reported 13 deaths, 424 new positive cases (414 general population, 10 CAPF personnel) and 87 recoveries in the last 4 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 13 persons who succumbed to the pandemic include a female from Imphal East aged 42 yrs, a male from Imphal West aged 43 yrs, a male from Imphal West aged 48 yrs, a male from Chandel aged 46 yrs, a female from Thoubal aged 92 yrs, a male from Thoubal aged 73 yrs, a female from Imphal West aged 60 yrs, a male from Imphal West aged 65 yrs, a male from Bishnupur aged 39 yrs, a female from Kakching aged 33 yrs, a male Imphal West aged 66 yrs, a female from Imphal West aged 72 yrs and male of Imphal West aged 62 yrs, Raj Medicity (1), Shija Hospital (2), DH Thoubal (1), JNIMS (1), and RIMS (7). The cumulative number of deaths is in the state goes up to 489.
Of the 414 persons (212 males, 202 females) from the general population, 175 of them are from Imphal West, 157 from Imphal East, 30 from Bishnupur, 18 from Churachandpur, 11 from Jiribam, 8 Thoubal, 3 each from Chandel, Kakching and Kangpokpi, 2 from Tamenglong and 1 each from Noney of Senapati.
During the same period, 87 persons recovered which included 41 from home isolation, 12 Ukhrul, 10 LANVA, 8 RIMS, 7 from Churachandpur and 2 from RD Wing. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 85.76%.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 35,778 (General Population – 32,110 and Central Security Personnel – 3,668). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 30,685 (General Population – 27,1204 and Central Security Personnel – 3.668). The number of active cases is 4604 (General Population – 4422 and Central Security Personnel – 182).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1020 D type oxygen cylinders and 524 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals have 128 D and 85 B oxygen cylinders of which Bishnupur has 13D, 8B, Chandel has 18 D, 6B, Churachandpur 24D, 10B, Senapati 6D, 7B, Thoubal, 23D, 11B, Ukhrul 9D, 16B, Tamenglong 15D, 21B and Jiribam, 20D, 6B.
As per latest information, the total number of persons vaccinated is 266081.
The official release further advised all persons above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated immediately at vaccine centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, and select private hospitals.
