11 new positive cases Saturday in Manipur

The number of active cases is 44 (general population 35 and CAPF 9). The recovery rate is 98.57%.

Imphal: As with the last few days, Manipur reported no deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday. During the same period, 11 persons (6 males and 5 females) from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 11 positive persons who tested positive include 5 from Imphal West, 4 from Imphal East and 1 each from Thoubal and Senapati. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

Meanwhile, 4 persons recovered and were discharged, 3 of them are from CAPF and 1 from home isolation.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,271 (General Population — 25,838 and Central Security Personnel — 3,433). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,854 (General Population — 25,434 and CAPF— 3,420). The number of active cases is 44 (general population 35 and CAPF 9). The recovery rate is 98.57%.

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on February 26, is 3482 and the cumulative vaccination number is 52327.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 29760 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There are no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
