11 new Covid positive cases, 18 recoveries Monday in Manipur

Altogether, 444 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.5 %.

Imphal: 11 persons from the general population tested Covid positive In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday in Manipur. During the same period, 19 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 11 persons who tested positive, three each are from Imphal West and Imphal East, two from Churachandpur and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel and Ukhrul. Altogether, 444 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.5 %.

Meanwhile, 19 persons recovered, 15 from home isolation, two from SHRI and one each from RIMS and CAPF. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.35 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 519 of which 1, 37,220 have recovered leaving 156 active cases in the state.

As on August 14, 2022, 408 D-type oxygen cylinders and 74 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 15, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which six are occupied and 33 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which seven are occupied and 55 are vacant.

 The total number of doses administered on August 14, is 225, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,45,062 (1st dose 16,23,298, 2nd dose 12,94,281) and precautionary dose is 2,27,483.
