104 new positive cases, 27 recoveries Friday in Manipur

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Friday, 88 persons from the general population and 16 personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested positive while 27 persons recovered and there were no report of any death, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 88 positive persons (49 males, 39 females) from the general population who tested positive include 36 from Imphal West, 28 from Imphal East, 10 from Churachandpur, 3 each from Kakching and Bishnupur, 2 each from Ukhrul, Senapati and Chandel and 1 each from Thoubal and Kangpokpi.

Of the 27 persons who were on home isolation, 20 of them were on home isolation, 5 from Shri and 1 each from JNIMS and CAPF. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.77%.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 30,151(General Population — 26,643 and Central Security Personnel — 3,508). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,180(General Population — 25,737 and CAPF— 3,443). The number of active cases is 590 (general population 529 and CAPF 61).

As per the latest information, the total number of vaccination 118215.

The official release further advised all persons above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated immediately at vaccine centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, and select private hospitals.
