Mumbai: A total of 10 Ministers and over 20 MLAs have tested positive for Covid-19 in Maharashtra, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Saturday.
They include School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad and Social Welfare Minister K C Padvi.
Pawar said if the number of Covid-19 patients keeps increasing, the government may have to impose more restrictions.
He said the stage for imposing a fresh lockdown was approaching in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will take a call on it, he said.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra recorded 8,067 new coronavirus cases on Friday, a rise of 2,699 over Thursday, as well as eight deaths.
