Imphal: A 10-day long Induction Training Programme for the newly recruited Group-A & B Officers of the Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles, Manipur was kicked off yesterday i.e. the 24th August by Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary (Textiles, Commerce & Industry), Government of Manipur, at the Conference Hall of the Directorate, Lamphelpat, Imphal.
During the inaugural session, Anurag Bajpai, Addl. Chief Secretary highlighted the importance of ethics, discipline and integrity for being a government officer. He underlined the duties and responsibilities of Government officers and the need to uphold highest standards of public service.
Bajpai laid special emphasis on maintaining discipline and decorum among officials and called upon them to uphold goodwill and ensure citizen-centric public service delivery.
He emphasized the mandate and functions of the Directorate in the context of the State’s rich handloom, handicraft and textile heritage and its prospects. He stated that the Directorate should play a pivotal role in harnessing the State’s potential and contribute towards achieving the State’s vision for enhanced export promotion.
The Director, Handlooms & Textiles, Manipur also supplemented on the organizational hierarchy and set-up of the Directorate, including its duties and functions, with a brief outline of the areas of operation being carried out at the District and Headquarter level.
The Induction Programme aims at orienting the newly recruited officers on public delivery, service rules, financial rules, office procedure, e-governance and flagship schemes of the Ministry of Textiles and the State Government. Director, Handlooms & Textiles, Manipur, senior officers and newly recruited officers attended the inaugural function. 2 (two) new officers from Churachandpur attended the sessions virtually.
