World Earth Day: CM PS Tamang appeals for conservation of Natural Resources

Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang extends his greetings and support on the occasion of World Earth Day.

Earth day is celebrated every year on April 22nd. This year’s theme is ‘Restore our Earth’ which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can improve the world’s ecosystems.

The Chief Minister appeals for support activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources and foster harmony between communities and the environment.

As climate change is already creating havoc on our natural environment leading to health impacts, it is the responsibility of every citizen to be well aware and conscious of environmental issues. He added that Sikkim has been contributing to this effort by implementing various environment-friendly initiatives, with many more to come in the future.
