Imphal: The District Administration Chandel in collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) cell and District Hub for Empowerment of Women Chandel, organized the International Women’s Day under the theme “Together, Lets #Accelerate Action for Gender Equality#” at Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Chandel.
Speaking at the event, the DPO ICDS project Chandel, Pratibha Khoyumthem stated that BBBP Schemes aims to address the declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR), prevent gender-biased sex-selective elimination and promote the survival, protection and education of the girl child. She also highlighted the activities which were taken up from 22nd Jan – 08th March under the ICDS Cell Chandel, in relation with the observation.
The celebration was also attended by SP Chandel Babitarani Swain, Mothel Saka, SDC Chandel and W. Promilata Monsang, SDC/BO Chandel as presidium members. DLOs of different departments under District Administration Chandel, Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers/Helpers, ASHA Workers, ICDS staffs, Adolescent girls, Villagers and invitees were also amongst the presenters.
