Wednesday sees Manipur’s positivity rate improve further to 4.6%

Imphal: Manipur’s positivity rate in Manipur improved significantly further to stand at 4.6 as 171 persons tested positive out of a total of 3, 544 in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday. The 171 persons include 164 persons from the general public and 7 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force.

During the same period, one person from Imphal West who had been vaccinated both the doses but had co-morbidities expired while 180 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 164 persons (85 males, 79 females) from the general population who tested positive include 68 from Imphal West, 38 from Imphal East, 19 from Bishnupur, 14 from Ukhrul, 9 from Churachandpur, 6  from Thoubal, 5 each from Chandel and Tamenglong, 2 each from Kakching and Senapati and 1 each Kangpokpi, Noney and Tengnoupal.

Of the 139 persons who were discharged, 37 were from home isolation, 77 from CCCs, 2 from CHICs, 4 from RIMS and 10 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.60%.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,19,041 (General Population – 1, 14,774, Central Security Personnel 4,267). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 14,991 (General Population – 1, 10,792, Central Security Personnel – 4,199). The number of active cases is 2,214 (General Population – 2,151, Personnel – 63).

The total number of doses administered on September 21, 2021, is 4,851 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,38,869 (1st dose 12,15,782, 2nd dose 4,23,087).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 22 is 531 out of which 424 are general beds while 108 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 22 is 3467 out of which 680 are occupied and 2787 are vacant.
