Imphal: Manipur reported a significant rise of 22 more positive cases among the general population in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday.
During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while five persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 22 persons who tested positive, 11 are from Imphal West, five from Imphal East, two from Senapati and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel, Kakching and Ukhrul. Altogether, 270 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 8.1 %.
All the five persons who recovered and were discharged are from hone isolation. The recovery rate of the state as of Tuesday stands at 98.40 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 345 out of which 1, 35, 146 have recovered leaving 79 active cases in the state.
The total number of doses administered on July 5, is 3,302, the cumulative number of doses administered is 29,72,319 (1st dose 15,95,589, 2nd dose 12,61,998) and precautionary dose is 1,14,732.
