Ambassa(Tripura): Islamist atrocities against Hindus during the Durga puja in Bangladesh was sharply condemned and criticised by Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) as the organisation staged a district-level protest rally in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of
Dhalai here this afternoon.
The rally was led by VHP leaders Tapan Yadav, Sanjoy Das, personalities
like Indu Bhusan Goala and others, it started from Kalibari grounds and after roaming around different parts of the bordering town gathered near the bus Terminus area where the street corner was held.
In the street corner, the speakers raised their concern against the most recent Islamist fundamentalist atrocities that led to the destruction of
pandals, idols and temples. The Bangladesh government was urged to
take up proper steps to stop such incidents and also to ensure proper
action against those involved.
The protest against the Bangladesh incident was raised all over the state and VHP included the district in this process as well.
