Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made a ‘Blue print’ for vaccination of children following the increase of new Variant Omicron infection in the city.
The BMC sources said here today in wake of the increasing Omicron infected people in Mumbai, we have made a ‘Blue print’ for vaccination of children between the age group between 2 and 18 years.
The corporation has set up 250 centres across the city for children vaccination, as soon as we get approval from ICMR, the corporation will start its vaccination within a week at all centres.
It is estimated we have to administer 35 lakh doses to children below the age of 18 years.
After the first dose, the second dose would be given in 28 days and the third dose will be given in 56 days, sources added.
Meanwhile, the Serum Institute, Pune has already produced 200 crore doses for the Children.
