Vaccination for frontline workers underway in Wokha

On the first day 113 frontline workers were vaccinated.

Kohima: Vaccination of COVID-19 for the frontline Workers (FLWs) for Wokha started Tuesday. Three session site have been identified at SP office, Deputy Commissioners Office and Home Guards and Civil Defense office for vaccination.

Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force for COVID-19, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha was the first person to be administered with the COVID vaccine on the first day. After taking the vaccine the DC requested all frontline workers to come forward and take the vaccine as it is safe and has no side effect so far. He further added “I took the COVID-19 vaccine because I trust in its efficacy”, he said and appealed to all to avail the vaccine.

On the first day 113 frontline workers were vaccinated. District Immunization Officer, Wokha, Dr. Khelito Zhimomi also informed that all the frontline workers stationed at different blocks wanting to avail the vaccine have been requested to contact the concerned Medical Officer and area Administrative Officer for further information.

On 9th Feb 2021 vaccination will be carried out Bhandari CHC, 7th NAP hospital and NEEPCO health care centre at Doyang.
