Uttarakhand becomes 1st state to implement NEP 2020 in country

The Chief Minister handed over the book 'Modi@20 Dreams Meet Delivery,' based on the political life of Narendra Modi to the officials of Education Department on the occasion.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand on Tuesday became the first state to implement the country’s National Education Policy-2020.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated ‘Bal Vatika Classes’ at Directorate of Secondary Education, Nanurkheda. Simultaneously, he inaugurated the Directorate of Elementary Education building and laid the foundation stone of SCERT building.

The Chief Minister handed over the book ‘Modi@20 Dreams Meet Delivery,’ based on the political life of Narendra Modi to the officials of Education Department on the occasion.

Dhami said that Uttarakhand has become the first state to start Bal Vatika under the National Education Policy-2020.

He said the National Education Policy-2020 is a new revolutionary change in the field of education in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister said the state government was moving ahead with a no-choice determination to make Uttarakhand a leading state in the country.

Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that Bal Vatika has been started in Anganwadi centers and schools from today. This program has also been organized in all the development blocks of the state today.

Rawat said that teachers should have only the task of teaching. For this, all other arrangements are being made online in the Education department.

Vidya review centers will be set up in Uttarakhand within a year. From next year, marks improvement examinations will also be organised in schools, he added.
