Washington: US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer set up a final vote for Wednesday on President Joe Biden’s $106 billion emergency supplemental request to provide additional aid Ukraine, Israel, border security and the Indo-Pacific region.

“A few moments ago, I filed cloture on a motion to proceed on a shell bill for a national security supplemental,” Schumer said Monday evening.

Sixty votes will be needed in the Senate to approve the new funding.
