Itanagar: Paying a visit to Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh, Union Minister of State for Ayush, Women and Child Development, Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai on Thursday reviewed the progress of the Aspirational District Programme by conducting a meeting with all the stakeholders at Namsai.
He also sought their feedback and problems faced at the grassroot level to find “possible solutions and the way forward”, official sources said.
He not only appreciated the progress made by the Aspirational district of Namsai for securing the present national rank of 14 but further urged the entire team to make more inroads to take the Namsai district out of the Aspirational district’s tag.
The Union Minister also held a meeting with PRI members, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and NGOs at the Multipurpose Cultural Hall, Namsai. He praised the district for ‘successfully’ implementing various Central Sponsored Schemes and other schemes and expressed his satisfaction on progress of various projects during his field visits.
He reiterated the commitment of the Central Govt towards North-East States particularly the Aspirational districts.
The MoS, who arrived at Namsai on Wednesday to take stock of the Aspirational District Programme, along with Namsai MLA Chow Zingnu Namchoom and other officers, visited 2 Anganwadi centers, the One Stop Centre, District Hospital and the Working Women Hostel at Namsai.
Apart from inspecting the facilities & services, he also had interactions with CDPOs, Anganwadi workers, beneficiaries of ICDS schemes, officials at One Stop Centre and doctors at the District Hospital.
While expressing his gratitude to the Union Minister for visiting the district, MLA Zingnu Namchoom requested him to enable more assistance and guidance in making Namsai in the top rank in the Aspirational District Programme index and stated that, his visit gave a morale boost to all the people of Namsai district.
