Union Minister NS Tomar agrees to allocate Fertilizer subsidy for Organic Farming

Earlier, Minister Lok Nath attended the National Conference of Agriculture Ministers, presided over by Union Minister of Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar.

Gangtok: Minister for Agriculture & Horticulture, Lok Nath Sharma, called on Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, in Bengaluru, Friday.

Minister Tomar agreed to certain demands of the State. He has assured subsidy on Fertilizers to promote Organic Farming, further in Sikkim. He has agreed to allocate a special package for the cultivation of Saffron in the State.

This was preceded by Minister Lok Nath submitting Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) on Saffron cultivation, area expansion of large Cardamom, Ginger, Turmeric, Cherry, Pepper (Dalley), and hydroponic farming.

Earlier, Minister Lok Nath attended the National Conference of Agriculture Ministers, presided over by Union Minister of Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Kailash Choudhary was also present. The conference culminated today.
