Union Minister Dr Pawar visits RIMS-Imphal

Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar said that India has remarkably marched ahead in the field of health care system.

Imphal: Union minister of state for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar visited RIMS along with State Health Minister, Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh Monday.

Both the ministers were accorded a warm reception in a function organized at Jubilee Hall, RIMS Imphal before attending a virtual meeting of the health ministers from RIMS. Minister also attended IDCF virtual program.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar said that India has remarkably marched ahead in the field of health care system. The country is at a new height of excellence. The department of Health and Family Welfare under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been able to successfully eradicate multiple diseases.   

She said that India is also famous as the world’s pharmacy. Now the country has become one of the biggest suppliers of quality medicines at a lower cost. Affordable quality health care is the vision for Prime Minister’s Health for all. We have also been able to defeat CORONA disease. The country has also successfully vaccinated more than 194 Crores.  

Minister Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar also congratulated RIMS authority and staff for successfully implementing many health schemes and programs relating to the health care system. She also appealed to the young medical staff to play the role of torch bearers to bring the best health care system in the country.

Later the Ministerial team inspected different departments of RIMS. Minister interacted with the doctors, nurses and hospital staff.  Additional CS, V. Vumlunmang; Director Health Services Manipur, Dr. K. Rajo Singh; Director RIMS, Prof. A. Shanta Singh; MS, RIMS, Prof. N. Sanjib Singh; were amongst those who were present during the occasion.
