Under PMAY, Bihar receives Rs 25,588 crore from the center: Sushil

He said Bihar has received Rs 25,588 Crore from the centre under the scheme launched in the year 2016 but the state government was still to construct 608388 houses even after receiving the fund.

Patna: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Rajyasabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi alleged that ministers in Bihar Government were trying to defame the centre to cover up their failures.

Modi said here on Tuesday that Bihar got Rs 4,590 crore from the centre under the Prime Minister’s rural housing scheme but Minister Shravan Kumar was out rightly denying getting funds from the centre under the scheme.

He said Bihar has received Rs 25,588 Crore from the centre under the scheme launched in the year 2016 but the state government was still to construct 608388 houses even after receiving the fund.

Modi said that 323000 houses under the Indira Aawas Yojana, the old housing scheme have also not been constructed in Bihar which has failed to execute the centre’s scheme even after it got maximum amount after UP.

The BJP leader said that no proposal of Bihar related to share in the central housing scheme was pending before the centre.
