Ulka Salam becomes new Chairperson of Manipur State Women’s Commission

Ulka Salam from Keishmthong Thangjam Leirak, Imphal, will replace Prof (Dr) Binota Meinam as the new Chairperson.

Imphal: Manipur government Thursday appointed senior BJP leader Ulka Salam as the Chairperson of the State Women Commission.

She has been appointed for three years. 

P Vaiphei, Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare, issued the order of her appointment. With this appointment, the post of the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission, which has been lying vacant for nearly a year, has been filled. 

Social activist and former executive member of state BJP unit, Ulka Salam from Keishmthong Thangjam Leirak, Imphal, will replace Prof (Dr) Binota Meinam as the new Chairperson.
