Kyiv: Ukrainian actor Oksana Shvets died after a rocket struck the residential building in Kyiv. She was 67.
The actor’s death was confirmed Kyiv National Academic Molodyy Theatre, in a social media post, where she was part of the troupe.
“Irreparable grief in the family of the Young Theater. Honored Artist of Ukraine Oksana Shvets was killed during a rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv. “Bright memory to the talented actress! “There is no forgiveness for the enemy who came to our land!”, the post read.
The actor had a decades-long career in theatre and film. She was awarded one of Ukraine’s highest artistic honor.
She had also worked at the Ternopil Music and Drama Theatre and the Kyiv Theatre of Satire, as reported by the Independent.Â
