Imphal: As an initiative to address water scarcity in the district, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar has inaugurated the ‘Jal Shakti Kendra’ office at PO (DRDA), Mini Secretariate, Ukhrul on Thursday.
Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Jal Shakti Abhiyan (ASA) is a time-bound mission mode water conservation campaign. It is designed for implementation to undertake efforts for conservation, restoration, recharge and reuse of water at water-stressed areas.
