Two women drug peddlers arrested from their residences in Lilong

Imphal: A combined team of Thoubal police commandos and Lilong Police Station arrested two women, drug sellers, from their residences and seized 78.6 gram of Heroin No.4, 1258 Spasmo Proxivon (SP) capsules, 20 Codeine cough Syrup bottles and Rs.36150/- from their possession on February 23 at around 5 pm.

The two women have been identified as Khursida Begum (28 years), wife of Md Shurjad of Lilong Ushoipokpi Tharaorok and Sumabi (26 years), wife of Md Ziaul Haque of Lilong Ushoipokpi Tharaorok.

In this regard, a case has been registered at Lilong Police Station for further investigation, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police, W Basu.
