Two more test Covid+ in Arunachal

Itanagar: Two more persons have tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Arunachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours, taking the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 55,336, a senior health official said on Thursday.

No deaths were reported and one patient was cured of the disease in the period that raised the total number of recovered cases to 55,037, the official said.

The fresh cases, which were detected in Lohit district and Itanagar Capital Complex, increased the state’s active caseload to 19.
Arunachal Pradesh collected 210 samples for Covid-19 testing in the period, which took its cumulative count to 12,04,800.
The state has recorded 280 fatalities due to Covid-19 related complications to date.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh administered a total of 1,312 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to its adult population.

The state’s cumulative vaccination coverage has gone past the 14.60-lakh mark. At least 80 per cent of the eligible people have taken the first dose of the vaccine and 64 per cent of the beneficiaries received both doses till date, state immunisation officer D Padung said.
