Imphal: The two-day workshop on Manipur Tourism Policy, 2022 ended Wednesday with many resource persons and experts exchanging their views and experiences about the tourism potential in the state.
Director of tourism, W. Ibohol Singh informed that Manipur is blessed with huge tourism potential. We need to cooperate with every section of people including government and non-government functionaries. The tourism department is also planning to organise Manipur Sports Tourism Festival as a mark to encourage and inspire sports talents of the state, he added.
On the closing occasion held in Imperial hall, Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal West, professionals and resource persons including different stakeholders took part. During the technical gathering, interaction and brainstorming sessions were also conducted as a part of the workshop.
Director, CESD, Manipur University, Dr. Ch. Ibohal Meitei was the moderator of the second day of the workshop. President All Manipur Polo Association, Dr. K. Saratchandra; MD. Sija Hospital & Research Institute, Dr. Kh Palin; Deputy Director, Tourism, Lanjoy Thoudam; Consultant Start-Up, Manipur Jagat Thoudam, and others also attended the event.
