Imphal: Four more succumbed to Covid-related complications, 327 persons (322 general population five CAPF) tested positive and 346 recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The five persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal West, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong respectively. Three of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the 2nd dose while two had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2050.
Of the 322 persons from the general population who tested positive, 131 are from Imphal West, 77 from Imphal East,27 from Thoubal, 17 each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur, 11 each from Tamenglong and Senapati, eight from Kakching, seven from Kangpokpi, three from Chandel and one from Tengnoupal. Altogether, 2,137 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 15.3 %.
Meanwhile, 346 persons recovered and were discharged, 231 from home isolation, 97 from CCCs, nine from RIMS and nine from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.50 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 33,583 out of which 1,27,572 have recovered, leaving 3,961 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on January 31, 2022, is 11,092, the cumulative number of doses administered is 25,09,889 (1st dose 14,30,547, 2nd dose 10,49,545) and precautionary 29,787.
There is a total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 65 are occupied while 235 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 28 are occupied and 162 are vacant.
