Tuesday saw just 5 positive cases, no death

Imphal: The ever improving trend as far as the Covid-19 pandemic continues in Manipur. The last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday saw no report of any death and just 5 persons tested positive, as per an official press note from the Covid-10 Common Control Room.

Among the 5 persons from the general population who tested positive, 3 are from Imphal East and 1 each from Imphal West and Bishnupur. Meanwhile, during the same period, 6 persons recovered and were discharged, 5 of them from Home Isolation and 1 from Rajmedicity.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,077(General Population — 25,652 and Central Security Personnel — 3,425). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,568(General Population — 25, 158 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 138 (general population 127 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.24%.

The press note also informed that 366 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday, the cumulative no of people vaccinated so far is 4739 and the percentage of achievement is 56.90%.
