Tripura opens schools on Jan 31

Agartala: Tripura government after reviewing the Covid situation, on Saturday announced to open the schools from pre-primary to Class XII from Monday, which was closed two weeks ago following spurt of Covid19 cases.

The notification issued by the Joint Secretary (Education) Chandni Chandran said that the overall situation of Covid has been reviewed by the education department and all schools and Madrasses in the state are hereby allowed to function normally with strict compliance of Covid appropriate behaviour from Jan 31 next.

The order shall be applicable to all government (including autonomous district council area), non-government, government aided and private educational institutions; she stated adding that the normal functioning of the schools including exams would be conducted as per the curriculum colander henceforth.

After the second wave of Covid19, Class for I-V had begun in the third week of September last year with a permission letter from each of the guardians for the students after a break of six months. However, the nursery level classes were suspended for the whole year.
